With the growing availability of tools and AI technology, people who had little means to produce images and media have now found ways to bring these ideas to life. Among these uses, on social media platforms like TikTok subcultures and fandoms have united thanks to these new creations, among them being an intersection between cannabis consumers and fantasy fans. Seeing a niche in this crossover, I took it upon myself to, with those same images that have become part of meme culture with users on social media, design a whole brand identity as if it were a concrete dispensary and cannabis provider leading to the creation of High Fantasy LABS.

High Fantasy LABS visual identity centers itself around the fantasy RPG world. Reminiscent of a tavern or apothecary, it bridges the gap between the fantastical and the technological.

Keeping in line with the design of the mylar bags, the edibles also feature high fantasy art contrasted with the monospace type and strain tags. Here the visual language and decision are implemented in boxes instead and demonstrating the versatility of the barand Identity.

	SERENA
Kamurocho Izakaya &#38;amp; Lounge
	

With the expanding nature of media, we see properties and titles that used to exist in one world begin to permeate and bleed into different forms and audiences. With more and more properties making the crossover, we now see how environments, spaces, and ideas that would exist within concepts like the 3D worlds of video games reach the mainstream in movie and television adaptations. Considering this, I began wondering what a real-world depiction of a business or brand would look like when taken out of the confines of the 3D world. Serena is just this, a representation of a high-end whiskey lounge in the fictional neighborhood of Kamurocho in Tokyo Japan. Utilizing elements from the source material to decide on art direction I create a proof of concept that blends the fictional world created by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studios with the real-world deliverables and concepts of a fully realized branding project.

Taking the Like a Dragon series as a jumping point, many of the decisions for aesthetics and content were laid out and instead of starting from zero, it became more of an adaptation and re-imagining of an existing brand. When approached from this perspective, the added elements of not fully removing the original essence of the project but in turn enhancing it became the goal. 


Elevator Access Branding

The in-world location of the lounge informed the paths and access that people would take. An elevator was a key element of this path so creating a recognizable impact was important. This same elevator motif would also inform the beginning animation of the video advertisement and shows the way the text initially reveals the motion of elevator doors opening.

	Abstracting the dragon motif from the reference media and re-applying it as a red ink stamp that dances along the different elements provides not just an element of fantasy and whimsy, but at the same time a real world reference to cultural ements and recognizability of the brand at first glance.

When it came to the design of the menu, it was imperative to blend not just the concepts of the fictional world, but the environment of Tokyo that shapes this place. With that, the importance of including HIragana, Katakana, and Kanji was essential and appropriately type setting these elements. The blend of English for a wider reach was imperative, but also to highlight the way that many of the referenced material and names are taken straight from the English language and blended with the Japanese terms like with most Katakana in media and business today.

In the growing age of technology and globalization, we are exposed more than ever to a vast amount of information. That being said, I noticed when I moved to the United States that all the events, stories, tragedies and triumphs of life in Puerto Rico were missing.&#38;nbsp; In its place existed a vain and misinformed depiction centering around tourism and catering to a foreign audience. How could I expect people from around the world to know what I have been through and my realities if not even within the US the information is not reaching?


This is where Project SEVA comes in, this project seeks to present so many stories, realities and histories that have been shared via communal ties and oral traditions to a wider audience. Within its pages, both digital and physical, Puerto Rican iconography, indigenous imagery and manipulated photography decorate interviews
with Puerto Rican professionals who discuss the realities of gentrification, tourism red lining and climate change. Project Seva aims to be that accessible starting point for anyone interested in learning more about the true lives and culture of Puerto Rican citizens outside of the one-sided and incomplete image painted by
foreign media and tourism campaigns.

Many times in towns and urban spaces we focus on the development of commerce and housing as frameworks for town squares and plazas. With the ever expanding developments taking precedent over the natural identifiers of regions, this project aims to incorporate the environment as part of the urban wall that frames these public spaces. Using mountainside identifiers as a reference, a pathway that serves as a small urban escape framed in the flora of the area serves as an alternative to overdevelopment and instead gives way to an extension of the public space in a unique way.

	The concept for this urban connector comes from the enviornment that frames the town of Cayey. Taking the landmarks into consideration and the cultural identity around the mountains, the concept of an organic stone walkway that emulates these natural enviornments became the main driving force for the conceptualization of this project.

	The short journey was meant to emulate the escape of the nearby natural context within the urban setting. Framed by trees and greenery it served as a breather from the otherwise busy town square.

	Van Leeuwen X House of Love Collaboration
	In the current market many crossovers and brand collaborations seem to dominate the mainstream. These types of projects bring together seperate audiences and promote traffic towards products or services that would have otherwise remained untapped. Utilizing the Van Leeuwen brand, known for fun and innovative collaborations, I bring forth the concept of Van Leeuwen X House of Love. This collaboration fuses the brand identities of both brands plus recognizable queens from the RuPauls Drag Race universe as the main identifiers of the collab. With queens that have food related presences in social media, Nymphia Wind, Lemon, Honey Davenport, Silky Nutmeg Ganache, Milk and RuPaul herself become the faces of this limited time run.


	Five flavors form part of this collection each taking inspiration from notable moments in the Drag Race universe and outside of it to help create fun and memorable flavors.

Mother of the House of Love RuPaul graces the campaign herself as more of a cultural identifier and icon that bridges the gap for most outside the fandom. While the queens within the series may not have as much notoriety, RuPaul with her decades long presence in media creates a recognizable image for many to be drawn in deeper and explore the collaboration.

For many of the design choices, evaluating both brands was key. Studying collaborations like the Sabrina Carpenter Espresso drop in summer 2024 along with identifying pieces of the House of Love brand led to many of the decisions.
Understanding composition, slogans and graphic elements ensure the easy connection betwen the brands for consumers. This alongside Van Leeuwen’s more minimal approach in advertising and promotional images meant that the identifying factors from House of Love needed to be as clear as possible to solidify the collaboration.

After the devastation of Hurricane María devastated Puerto Rico, many places were left with the question of how to address disaster relief. Working under architect Victor Díaz Paunetto in his firm, alongside a team we developed the infographics, images, and data for the architectural project designed by the head architect in the office. Alike the PRFI Headquarters project, this one sought to create spaces that are not just disaster relief, but also sensorial spaces for children to learn and develop. This park combines the corporate needs of PRFI with its storage unit, the children's recreational needs with the park, and the community's needs in case of disaster. This project takes into consideration the sensorial needs of children of diverse backgrounds and needs and integrates them into the design philosophy and representation.

Seeking to merge both design backgrounds and how they influence my design perspective, 18N 66W uses as subject matter an architectural project and master plan and takes these into the real world as any other urban development project.

Not only is every asset created and designed by myself, but the presentation of this mixed-use residential commercial lot by the north coast of Puerto Rico reflects the intricacies of branding architectural developments. Real-world mockup promotional material alongside a digital landing space for anyone curious and interested in living the Caribbean dream.

Following the design and development of an urban proposal for the site, it seemed only fitting that this being an integral part of the project's identity that it too serves as the basis for a brand identity. With this in mind, the green spaces and hard concrete plazas became the two abstractions implemented in the stationary, posters, and other advertisements. While the logo of 18N 66W Parque Barbosa fits perfectly for corporate and more minimal applications, with this second language to compliment it the iterations are much vaster and adaptable to the representational needs.
