As part of a smart materials and innovation project, we were tasked with the creation of a tessellating block that could be grown out of fungus. The process took over a month to do and required intense preparation at each stage to ensure proper development. These blocks can serve aesthetic purposes for a permeable wall or if properly applied and calculated even acoustic properties for noise isolation can be applied.
