Cis-Tem

Cis-Tem is conceptualized as a queer publication emphasizing highlighting the members of its community and the issues they face. This first issue BOUNDARIES was conceptualized as a response to the anti-LGBTQ+ bills and legislations sweeping the nation. On its cover, proud trans native Hawaiian drag performer Sasha Colby adorns the first issue of this conceptual magazine. Inside the articles range from bills in place displayed with carefully created infographics, historical timelines, and even bumpers between articles paying tribute to queer performers and personalities that paved the way.

Inspired by the key word boundaries, the implementation of motion utilizing the invisible constraints of the digital media lends itself to a systematic approach not just for the current issue but also a system for the future. Key images from articles in the issues adorn the background while relevant information appears centered at the top or bottom of the composition.
